Offsite Program
The Bird of
Prey Center education staff
can bring birds of prey directly to your facility for an exciting and
informative education program. Groups can observe birds of prey
up-close as the Birds of Prey educators provide an interactive
educational experience. The programs also typically include a small
flying demonstration, allowing groups to observe flight behaviors
first hand.
Programs can be
arranged to occur
indoors or outdoors for 30 to 90 minutes. Cost for offsite programs
is $4.00 per participant, with a $200 minimum.
On-site Visits
Groups can
arrange to bring their class
to the Center for Birds of Prey for a tour and flight
demonstration with the Birds of Prey educators. During the tour,
groups can see birds of prey from all over the world as they learn
about their unique characteristics from the knowledgeable education
staff. The group is then brought to the Center’s flying
fields for
a flight demonstration with a variety of live raptors, including
owls, falcons and eagles.
Programs can be
arranged for 1 to 2
hours. The Center is located off of Rte 17 in Awendaw, South
Carolina, just outside of Mt Pleasant. Cost for on-site visits is
$5.00 per participant, with a $200 minimum.
